"Why so serious?"This iconic dialogue has been reverberating in my ears since 2008. Is it because of the sardonic smile of the Joker or his manic laughter or for that matter, his criminal mastermind? Today, I realize that it is the dialogue itself. Yes, you read it right, the DC Universe's super-villain, the Joker, has revealed the answer to the mysteries of humanity.
      This leads us to the question, "How has a psychopath with a sadistic sense of humor decoded one of the most difficult conundrums for experts?". In order for you to unravel the answer to the question, let me give you a hint : hatred. Our generation is the generation of hatred, discrimination, racial bias and genocide. So, where does this hatred arise from?In fact, I'll do you one better, what is hatred?No, let me do you one more better, why is there hatred? These are the enigmas which have not been unraveled yet, primarily because none of us seem to pay attention to it.
      An influencing factor of abhorrence has been social media. Sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and WhatsApp have become war zones for people to vent their anger and hatred. This statement can be backed by yet another heated debate across the world: Yanny vs Laurel. In the past 72 hours, the world has been divided into two sections. From the Allied Powers vs the Central Powers to the Yannies vs the Laurels, we have truly completed the full circle in the last century itself.
      Aural discrimination is currently the new trend. Hatred memes, jokes, messages and videos have been taken to the next level. This is where the Joker's philosophy comes in. Why do we humans have to take everything apart? Why don't we just enjoy the game once in a while? Why don't we just support our section without downplaying the other? And so, we are back to square one with a bunch of enigmas again. I am sure that I will receive criticism from the Marvel fans out there, but then again that's just how hatred works. When Thanos destroyed half the universe, it seems he didn't have to do much because we had already destroyed our hearts for him.
